Alstroemeria ‘Fire’ is a micro variety reaching approximately 25cm tall. The fabulous glossy red flowers are produced in abundance over a mounded and compact plant ideal for providing vibrant rich colour in smaller spaces throughout late spring and summer. All Inca Alstroemerias flower over a very long season ensuring there is colour in your garden for an extended period. Inca Alstroemerias are valued as a ready source of cut flowers for beautifying your home indoors in addition to flowering for up to 10 months of the year in milder climates. Suitable for pots or garden beds.
Incas are bred for compact habit and are non-invasive unlike older Alstroemerias. Suitable for pots or in the garden they like humus-rich soil, and should be kept moist through summer months in their first season. Drought tolerant once established.
Remove old spent stems and excess ‘blind stems’ by pulling from the base to stimulate further flowering. Feed with slow release fertiliser. Mulch is beneficial where Incas are in garden beds. Alstroemeria Inca Fire (Alstroemeria x ligtu) features bright fiery red flowers with a yellow highlight.
The Inca range of Alstroemeria are extremely compact making them ideal for pots and containers. Drought hardy and light frost tolerant they flower prolifically for up to nine months of the year. Alstremeria make very long lasting cut flowers so they are ideal for vases. Prefers a full sun to part shade postition in well drained soil. Suitable for large pots or containers garden beds and borders.
