ABOUT ANIGOZANTHOS BUSH DIAMOND
Bush Diamond is a compact, off white flowered kangaroo paw that acts as a great colour contrast in multiple plantings. Produces a profusion of flowers and is a particularly good performer in larger patio pots.
An unusual and beautiful flower colour in kangaroo paws varying from snow white when grown in warmer temperatures to white with a pink overtone in cooler conditions. Dwarf habit with branched stems and prolific non-stop blooming performance. A reasonable garden plant and outstanding in a pot. Prefers a sunny position and well drained soils for best performance. Cut dead flowers back close to the ground if needed. A plant that multiplies and flowers as prolifically as Diamond uses a lot of energy, so be sure to feed and water regularly for best continuing performance. Flowers appear all year round. Flowers and foliage can be used in cut flower arrangements.
Masses of off-white flowers tinged with pink atop strong, upright stems from spring through to autumn and rich, deep green foliage.
Planting Advice:
Good drainage is essential. If growing in pots only use a native potting mix.
It likes a deep watering if the warmer months of the year are dry, as winter approaches less water is needed. Doesn’t like being wet.
Remove old flowers and leaves then prune after flowering to keep dense and to shape. Can be done any time in the warmer months of the year.
