Broccoli Winter Uses and Health Benefits:-
- Broccoli plant winter likes a lot of moisture so be sure to use your compost regularly. This is not hard at all. Simply pour out your old compost into your compost bin. If you are going to use the compost bin as a mulch area, make sure that it is covered with mulch-type material. This will help keep it nice and moist.
- During the dormant season, the broccoli plant may start to have a problem with its leaves. Some of them can become wavy and look very odd. To fix this, simply take a sharp knife and cut away the loose leaves until there are no more leaves on the plant. This is usually easily done with scissors or a pair of scissors. Then you can use a garden fork to cut up the other side of the leaves. You may also want to use a pair of pruning shears to cut off the branch that may have started it all.
