Large bushy green leafy plant suitable for indoors and rainforest gardens with showy large white flowers. Best grown in dark areas to give the brilliant white flower and dark green foliage. This plant is a natural air filter so great for bedrooms and bathroom spaces.
DESCRIPTION: Large leafy spathiphyllum with dense bushy habit, large white sail-like flowers, big broad green leaves. Native to South America and thrives in humid shady climates.
USE IN: Perfect indoor plant for adding lush green-ness and improving air quality.
PLANTING: Plant in sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost and provide plenty of water during dry periods. Happy indoors in pots.
CARE: Water when soil begins to dry, gently push your finger into the soil to test for moisture. Spathiphyllums will droop slightly when in need of water. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants – wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust and spritz with a hand sprayer to refresh the foliage. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
