Syngonium podophyllum ‘Pixie’ is a versatile plant, and it will grow readily in most lighting conditions besides direct sunlight. It’ll thrive in bright, indirect light, but it’ll also manage just fine in low to medium light settings too. - Watering
The Arrowhead Vine is very forgiving in terms of watering. It’ll do just fine with regular, even moisture. Though, in the wild they can be found naturally growing in riparian areas near streams and waterfalls, so they’re pretty difficult to overwater as houseplants or in a terrarium. - Substrate
This hardy and versatile plant can grow in a variety of substrates and growth mediums. As always, good water retention and drainage will work well for use in a terrarium. - Temperature & Humidity
As a native rainforest plant, Syngonium podophyllum with thrive in the warmth and humidity of a closed terrarium environment. Though it’ll probably still grow happily without it. - Growth
Syngonium podophyllum ‘Pixie’ remains much more compact than it’s larger houseplant variety, but it’s still a climber and can work its way around a terrarium to a smaller extent. - Propagation
Syngonium are very easy plants to propagate, and the dwarf varieties are no different. Simply take a stem cutting that already has a couple of leaves and a viable root node, and place it in water for a few weeks till it develops its own root system.
